OpenAI held its #DevDay2025 yesterday with several new product announcements. 👉I esp want to draw your attention to the « #Apps in #ChatGPT » as perhaps the biggest news:
▶️ Using the new #ChatGPT Apps SDK, developers can now create apps callable directly within ChatGPT > ie « Chat With Apps »

🔥 My take: This means the #collapse of the thousands of standalone #AI startups that are essentially « wrappers » frontend UIs built for a specific purpose such as writing #Marketing copy or analyzing #AdCampaign results
▶️ AI startups will rapidly move from being separate freestanding things #Marketers need to buy & figure out how to integrate > to being embedded into their #ChatGPTteams or #ChatGPTenterprise corp subscriptions to tackle their specific #Marketing use cases
▶️ Not yet announced but expected is how developers (=startups) will be able to monetize their apps within ChatGPT.
✅ Bottom Line: AI startups focused on narrow use cases will fast become app developers with their products embedded as « chattable within ChatGPT »
