Static image ads are outperforming video in three of our best-performing accounts.
We’ve been pushing video hard, but in some cases, it just stopped delivering so we ran a fresh round of static image tests. At the same time, we tested new headline and primary text combinations to see what matched best.
Here’s what happened:
✔Higher click-through rates
✔Lower bounce
✔Stronger ROAS at mid and bottom funnel
The best-performing formats had:
✔A five-star rating bar at the top ⭐
✔“NEW DROP” or “LIMITED” in the corner
✔Slashed price and clear CTA
✔Simple product shot in context in-hand or against texture.
They look native. They get to the point and most importantly, they’re fast to produce.
Video still plays a role and we will countinue with that for sure , especially for top funnel, but when you need creative volume and speed, static images are doing the heavy lifting.
Sometimes, simpler scales better.
