The Take by TRAVHOTECH – CES 2026 Day Three

The « Agentic » Finale

We made it to Day Three. If the first two days were about the flashy gadgets and the robots that move them, Day Three was a deep dive into the brain behind it all. Today was about AI, but not the « generate a poem » kind. We are talking about NVIDIA and the « Agentic World »—where AI doesn’t just talk, it acts.

From quantum computing that makes your current chatbot look like a calculator to being stalked by a delivery robot that just wanted some attention, here is the wrap-up of the final day in the trenches.

1. The « Agentic World » Department (NVIDIA)

The TRAVHOTECH Take: We spent serious time in the NVIDIA ecosystem today, and the word of the day is « Agents. » We aren’t just training models anymore; we are building agents for everything. We saw agents running robotic testing and managing digital wind tunnels for aerodynamics. The implications for industrial design are massive. But the real head-turner? « NVIDIA Inside » for surgeons. We saw AI systems overlaying real-time data for surgery. If autonomous cars can drive us, can autonomous agents operate on us?

The Story: Agents, Wind Tunnels & Robot Surgeons

  • Agentic AI: NVIDIA is showcasing AI that autonomously runs complex tests—from robotic stress testing to virtual wind tunnels—removing the human bottleneck in engineering.
  • The Surgical AI: A glimpse into the future of MedTech where AI provides real-time guidance and « vision » to surgeons. « NVIDIA Inside » might be the new standard for the OR.
  • Worker Guidance: We saw systems combining video intelligence with voice AI to speak to and guide industrial workers in real-time. It’s like having a master craftsman whispering instructions over your shoulder.

2. The « Hardware Nostalgia & Quantum » Department

The TRAVHOTECH Take: I had a moment of pure nostalgia today. Amidst the cloud hype, I found myself staring at a beautifully integrated server rack. As someone who remembers the days of building data centers (before they were removed for « mist » and cloud contracts), there is still nothing more rewarding than seeing the physical iron meticulously constructed (it even glowed in golden hues), that powers the world. But then, I got my mind blown.

The Story: The Quantum Computer (Helios)

  • The Tech: What does a Quantum Computer environment look lie – see headline image of this article. I had a conversation with Dr. Alistair Milne at Helios about real-life, working Quantum Computing.
  • The Insight: Asking a highly intelligent engineer to « business-splain » Quantum to me was deeply insightful. We are moving past the theoretical. Dr. Milne helped design a system that uses actual atoms to process data. This isn’t just faster; it’s a completely different way of thinking. A « Quantum Chat Engine » is on the horizon. This tech is in the field and being used by some of the biggest brands in the world.

3. The « Future Mobility & Holograms » Department

The TRAVHOTECH Take: We looked at fully autonomous robot cars powered by Tensor chips—Your new guest pickup service from the airport without a driver in sight. But the coolest ride? An urban mobile for one. A sleek, three-wheeled trick that screams « modern city living. » It’s the perfect amenity for a downtown lifestyle hotel. It definitely trumps the e-Bike!

The Story: Holograms & Tensor Cars

  • AINA: We checked out AINA, a platform converting standard video content into Holograms. This is the future of in-room entertainment and digital concierge—turning a flat video message into a presence in the room.
  • Tensor Mobility: Fully autonomous vehicles are getting smarter, smoother, and ready for the hospitality fleet. This one is apparently the first robotic vehicle. The steering wheel totally recessed.

4. The « Social & Robot » Department

The TRAVHOTECH Take: Is this hospitality? I was literally chased around the floor by a delivery robot that wouldn’t leave me alone until I said « Hello » to it. I finally gave in, greeted it, and it happily rolled away. It was charming, annoying, and effective—exactly like a real waiter trying to upsell you dessert. These are out in the streets in China delivering food today.

The Story: Meta, Samsung & The Last Stand

  • Meta: The lines to try on the new AI Glasses were still around the block. The demand for « face-worn AI » is real.
  • Samsung: In a sign that the week is winding down, Samsung was all packed up and gone. When the big guns leave, you know the show is over.

The Las Vegas Wrap

We ended the day—and the week—the best way possible: with the local HFTP Las Vegas chapter. We gathered at one of the city’s newest hotels (and yes, for the uninitiated, we do have hotels without casinos in Las Vegas).

All this left me pontificating on the future with the legendary Mike Blake, Deron Pearson, and Daniel Montellano. We debated what all this tech—from Quantum atoms to needy robots—actually means for our industry and ourselves. It can drive you to a soothing libation apparently!

That wraps a massive week at CES 2026. Stand by for the Weekly Wrap, where I’ll focus on the single most interesting discussions I had all week.
